Staff documents
Every employee file in the right folder
Contracts, payslips and certificates are kept per person. Folders decide who can open them, and document requests bring missing papers in from the team’s phones.
The folder decides who sees the file
Set up folders once for the whole organisation. Each one is either shared with the employee or kept for managers.
Shared with the employee
Payslips or contracts the person can open in their app, each person seeing only their own.
Managers only
Notes and files the employee never sees, open only to managers with document access.
A personal folder for everyone
Each person has a personal folder for their own documents. It can’t be renamed or deleted.
Ask for a file, get it back in the right place
A missing ID, a medical certificate, last month’s payslip: requests go both ways and the file lands straight in the person’s documents.
You ask the team
Ask one person or a whole site for the same document, then follow who has sent it.
The team asks you
An employee asks for a payslip or a certificate in the app. You send the file and they find it in their documents.
Questions about staff documents
Can’t find your answer? Tell us about your sites and your teams.
Ask a questionWhich files can I store?
PDFs and images (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC), up to 20 MB each.
Can every manager open staff files?
No. A manager needs the Documents permission to open staff files, and a separate permission to add or change them.
Can I change who sees a folder later?
A folder keeps its audience. To change it, create another folder and move the files: Averty tells you who will gain or lose access.
